All About me
Hi, and thanks for looking at my page.
I guess that you want me to tell you a bit more about myself.
Well, at the time of writing this, I'm 41, 5'9" tall, slim.
I live in a small historical city of Worcester in England. This city is about 25 miles South West of Birmingham. It's an old city and still has several 17th century buildings standing. It was famous during the English Civil War as the only city to remain faithful to the King.

My interests include, apart from computers, dancing, travel, television, self-help and personal psychology. I enjoy reading and listening to music. One thing I regret from my school days, is not learning to play a musical instrument.

I work as a teacher in a local school for kids with severe learning difficulties. It is a very rewarding job, especially when you see the pupils make small steps to progress. Though it has its downside, too much damn paperwork !

I love talking to people around the world and receiving emails. (hint, hint)

I have travelled quite a lot, though there are still many places I'd like to see. I had a great trip to Canada in 1998. Also went to Belgium for the first time, via the Channel Tunnel. Also, that year, I had a great vacation on the atlantic island of Madeira.

I'm a deep thinking and caring man. I don't like to see cruelty. I accept that the world may not always seem fair, yet I still think that cruelty is unnecessary.

I'm interested in personal psychology and development. I enjoy helping other people. I am trained not just in teaching but also in counselling skills. People have come to know me as a good listener.

I like to think that I'm insightful and able to see into people and appreciate their world view.

I'm supportive of others, especialy a partner. I like to share ideas and decisions. Nothing annoys me more than a partner who won't share in the decision making.

That's not to say that I am perfect. far from it. I have my faults just like any other person.

I can sometimes become impatient. I can become moody, especially in the dark dreary days of winter. I also tend to be shy at times.

I do, though, have a sharp sense of humour. An eye for puns and 'double-entendres'.

A while ago, I joined a social group called 'spice'. With them I have been gliding, hot-air ballooning, juggling, rambling, quizzing and many other activities.

So what am I looking for ?

A new career.
A life partner.
Many new friends around the world, who can share interests with me and introduce me to new ones.

A new career... I enjoy teaching and it is very rewarding seeing thechildren make progress. However, I'm getting fed up with the, often unnecessary, paperwork. So I'm looking for a new career. One which gives me more control of my time and finances, one which also involves helping other people, one, ideally, where I can be my own boss.

A life partner... I guess we all seek this. I lost a fiancee in a car crash about 20 years ago. That's not to say I haven't had relationships since, I have but I've not found the right one ( came close on a few occassions!). I still seek a life partner to share life with its ups and downs and its happiness.

Many new friends... I enjoy making new friends, friends around the world and around the corner. I enjoy receving emails ( another hint)
